Requirements :
Update the firmware first (OTA firmware update) before you root your phone to prevent your stock recovery from being changed to CWM permanently.
Steps:
1. Install Drivers Lenovo P770 Drivers
2. Install MT65xx Preloader driver
HOW TO INSTALL DRIVER:Extract MT65xx rar file to desktop. Turn off Phone. Remove Battery.Connect USB cable > Go to Control Panel > Device Manager > View > Show hidden devices. Under Other devices, may lilitaw na MT65xx Preloader. Right-click, Update Driver Software > Browse my Computer > Let me pick from the list > Show all devices > Next > Have Disk > Browse to location of MTK universal drivers and select the right OS driver > OK > Next > Install this driver software anyway. New device added: Mediatek DA USB VCOM Port. Remove cable. Done.
3. Flash CWM recovery: See SCREENSHOTS HERE
Extract Recovery_ROOT_pak_770.zip to desktop. Copy Root_by_javum.zip file to your SD card. Run SP Tool, Load scatter file (MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc), dapat may check yung RECOVERY, make sure tama yung location ng recovery_P770.img tapos click download, yes lang sa Warning screen, ikabit yung phone w/ BATTERY ng naka OFF, wait hanggang lumabas yung green circle then remove cable. Close SP Tool. Done.
4. Load CWM recovery
Hold power button for 2 secs then release, immediately hold both the volume up+down keys. pag lumabas na yung CWM Recovery v5.5.0.4, Use volume keys to navigate, power button to select. Select install zip from sd card > choose zip from sdcard > select the file > Select Yes - Install Root_by_javum.zip Lalabas na successful. > OK. May message na Install from sdcard complete. select ++Go back++ > reboot system now.
5. Pag on ng phone, check niyo kung may SuperSU na or wala ng error message na you are not rooted pag open nyo ng SuperSU. ENJOY your ROOTED P770!
